Modelling
Two energy modelling tools, one for energy (SUNtool), another for carbon, are currently being developed. One of the challenges of the models is to make them suitable for application to districts rather than a limited number of buildings.
Various research institutes are involved :
- Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale - LESO-PB
- Dundalk Institute of Technology
Tools are being developed locally, the SUNtool in Neuchâtel and the carbon model in Dundalk. But they will be tested in different HOLISTIC communities, including Newry (Northern Ireland) and another in Italy (still to define).
