Energy savings in buildings

The Holistic project demonstrates that significant energy savings within such an area are really possible. In Switzerland, approximately 45 percent of end energy consumption is used for heating and cooling purposes, and for the construction of buildings and the preparation of hot water. The buildings sector is therefore very energy-intensive and is also a major source of harmful emissions.
