Retrofit of the distant heating system
Many buildings of the district are heated with "La Maladière" distant heating system. This device allows high energy savings (1 Gwh/year). This is achieved by decreasing the average temperatures in the tubes.
Measures
- to decrease the average temperature in the district heating and to replace the heat exchangers of the connected buildings.
Milestones
Temperature reduction and new installations in the buildings were proceeded throughout 2008.
